Feel free to call me Aki Smith. It's not my birth name, but there's another illustrator who already has my birth name, and I don't want to have to fight for that in the artistic world.

I'm planning on majoring in illustration, hopefully at one of the top US art schools (RISD, MICA, or SVA). I have a passion for drawing humanoid characters and I'm starting to really love sequential art and visual storytelling; I plan on selling prints or publishing my newest web comic.

In my art, I obsess over fantasy and theological themes-especially Christian and Jewish concepts. I love drawing angels, but I also love illustrating darker conception and creatures too. I always try to invoke an emotion in my drawings-so I hope that's clear.

Commissions [Closed]Too busy with portfolio development! I have a lot of hometests to do and other commissions to finish. So, until next summer probably...I won't be open for commissions. Maybe if you offer me a lot of money I might do it...but, otherwise, I'm really closed. Thanks for understanding!
EDIT: I think that a few people would like to commission me, but can't quite afford the pricing. So, I'll lower them until the demand gets higher, k? ^^
